We have trails taking in the high passes of the area leading to what seems like the roof of the world followed by huge descents into the valley bottoms, cutting along first class singletrack in lovely spanish pine forests. The area of the Altiplano de Granada also lets us offer MTB riding of a more sedate nature, with tracks meandering through Olive and Almond groves and in and out of traditional andalucia villages. We aim to offer an all round experience with excellent biking, quality accommodation and an insight to the local spanish culture, that is now, not so common in the more tourist orientated areas.

Type of terrain

The terrain around castril is perfect for mountain biking of all levels and abilities. Under the wheel it is a mixture of hard packed track along with some rock, stone and gravel. There is the opportunity to do monstrous climbs on good quality tracks ( we can use transport for these if necessary) and huge descents on entertaining singletrack. There are also miles and miles of less demanding off road riding in the countryside below the mountains.
Though there are maps to the area, the best trails are to be found off the map, where the local knowlege of Mountainbike Spain makes sure your time is spent on quality routes.
This is an area of few cars, great trails, lots of sun and the best mountain biking.
